#27 Understanding Loss

#27 Understanding Loss

Today is my day to take a personal inventory and review all that is good in my life, and all that has been good in my life…leaving a personal space for all that will be good as I walk forward. We talked yesterday about loss and the hardship it brings.  Today we will talk about loss and all the beauty it contains. When I lost my daughter almost 4 years ago I could see nothing beautiful about being left behind.  I could find no joy in one more event in my life and in my family’s life which ripped my heart and brought me to my knees. If I knew there was a purpose for her saying good by I didn’t see it. Slowly, however, I began to respond to something deep and awakening…her voice, her presence right beside me. Her comfort was moment by moment and her inspiration led me to places in my life that simply were not attainable before she left.

We have all had moments, events like this…it is inevitable while living in this human world. My neighbor lost her only child, a son, when he was 5 and a half years old.  I remember thinking: how can she do this?…how can she walk through this devastating loss?  Her son died before my Kylleen did.  I comforted her the best I could and when my daughter passed she comforted me. Together we belonged to this special club…

My neighbor shared with me later that having lost her son was the worst …but she, too, felt him, heard him whisper to her and felt his presence in the most interesting ways. She spoke about what this loss taught her and how she adjusted…realizing that life is now more precious than ever to her.  She has said that because of this loss, over time, she has begun to see the beauty in the every day world.  She stops to listen and to experience things she didn’t pay attention to before her son’s death. Would she wish him here?  Of course! But her sense of life has continued in a positive way, opening her up to the sacredness she was not fully aware of before.

Today is a sacred day! Let us remember that beauty is all around and that our loved ones come so very close to us when there is celebration…St.Patrick’s Day and many other events, birthdays, anniversaries, and other holidays we celebrate. Allow the connection, the experience of those you have loved and lost to be with you. You are not imagining it…it is not the grief giving you false readings…as my daughter would keep saying to me in those first years after her passing: “Don’t cry mommy.  I am right here.”

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

#26 LOSS

There are many circumstances in our lives which prove so difficult that staying on this planet is sometimes questionable. I haven’t met a person who hasn’t at some point considered just not being here. It isn’t so much about a violent removal of life but rather a “just waking up and being somewhere else moment”. Whether we wish to physically leave or just “check out” of our responsibilities in living, we must come to understand that we are all connected and that in that connection is over-riding wisdom, help, compassion and LOVE!

Loss of a loved one, loss of a job, a living space, friends and relationships are way up there on the Loss-o-Meter of life. Any one of these losses can trigger many deep seated insecurities, unspoken from the past, compounded by the emptiness this “leaving” has created. When we speak of the depth of losing we also must understand the fear that goes with it.  We become afraid that we will never love that way again, or be able to create another job that is right for us again.  And certainly if we have lost someone who has passed over the ache can convince us that we can never experience that person again.

The next few posts will address loss and all that continues with the process of walking through our losses with grace, wisdom and understanding. For today, we will think of the losses which have been most significant for us.  We will write them down and place them in the order of intensity that we have experienced them. Then we will gauge our energy around each loss…from the worst to the least horrible and damaging.  Taking inventory in this way will help all of us to understand the levels of our experiences and as such we can then begin to infuse unconditional love and forgiveness into each situation.

This is a very dramatic part of recovery.  We are not going to erase the memory of a loved one or forget we ever lost a job etc.  But we are going to facilitate our own recovery and placement of each loss in a way that will help us walk forward in our lives making the best of each day with what we DO have in our lives.

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

# 26 The Luck of the Irish

Well, a good Sunday mornin’ to ya! In the spirit of our upcoming St Patrick’s day celebration I thought it would be fitting to spin a little yarn about “luck”.

It is true that there are those individuals who seem to win almost everything they try their hand at; my dad was one of those. In reality, the truth of our “luck” is based on our outlook and our belief system. We bring to us what we believe: how worthy we feel…how deserving (not entitlement)…and having the key to this: non-attachment.

My father didn’t care whether he brought home the TV set from Friday’s pool at work.  He was a free agent in this thinking. He was delightful.  He played, he worshiped and he understood the law of attraction. He had very little fear about anything.  He loved and he danced in the light of spirit. I accredit his amazing ability to win at everything, including dominoes, with his deep spiritual sense of being. My mother thought he was a bit child-like about his easy sense of life.  She didn’t flow in the same manner of consciousness as he did.

As a result of my dad’s belief system he never seemed to lack; he never seemed to struggle. Granted he was older when I was born so he had probably worked out some of the kinks of consciousness, but he lived as he believed and he attracted much to him because he understand that GOD had his back.  He understood how to dance with the spirit of the angels.  He knew that he need not struggle against the world, but join in and delight in his life.  He felt deeply and truly blessed and his life attracted those elements of kindness and love and flow that brought him all that was true.

My friends, delight in who you are! Play in the spirit of the young! Laugh! Love! Throw the cares and burdens away today and rediscover the playfulness you once had.  Do something fun! Relax and take a non-thinking-about the worries of life day!  It is Sunday and it is our day of rest. Build your luck…build the attraction of goodness by becoming in tune to your light and joy and playfulness.

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

#25 When Injustice Seems All-Consuming

There are many times, whether in our personal, professional, or global lives, when the perceived injustices we see, experience or are somehow privy to, produce such negative emotions, concerns and fear that all sense of hope seems to disappear. We pull ourselves in emotionally and mentally to protect ourselves from further upset and disappointment.  We find ourselves giving in to the very conditions we abhor: indifference, impotence and defeat. Overwhelmed, we have given in…or given up. Not today!

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

Today is a new day and we are going to begin the practice of moving mountains. Remember…there is always ENOUGH.

Today we choose to look past the broken pieces in our lives and our surrounding world and instead choose a new approach. We choose to remember the power of thought, the healing energy of Love and the Knowing of the I AM. Today we learn how to create new life around old circumstances.  We bring justice of thought to the unjust.  We bring a higher order of consciousness to circumstances which seem to strangle the truth of Life.  We walk through our fears and plant seeds of Divine Order and right action.  We forgive those who have forgotten who they are.  We forgive circumstances, regardless of how dire they might be.  The Power of Unconditional Love and Forgiveness is mightier than any sword.

In one of my favorite movies: Men In Black 3…the colorful character Griffin, a 5th dimensional being,  states in the movie: A miracle happens when what we think to be impossible…happens.

Today we are a powerful collective of thought.  Together we take this time to see injustice being resolved and flowing into the conscious action of Justice. We hold the vision of darkness to light and the impossible to the possible.  We call a higher order into our world and walk away from all that does not serve the highest good…that of GOD which lives in all living beings.

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

#24 The World of Light

I AM…I AM Light…I AM Love…I AM that I AM.

The universal sound OM, originating from the Hindu,  is a difficult sound to define. It can mean many things having to do with the spirituality of our human sound. In the Western culture we have translated it to the sound of I AM.

We have shown compassion for ourselves and we are remembering how loved we are…now we must include the practice of calling forth our I AM.  We use this sound as our absolute TRUTH.  We call it to ourselves as many times a day as is necessary.  There is power and stance as we use the sound of our core being: I AM.

Think about how many times a day we might say: I am tired, I am angry, I am disappointed etc. We are using the I AM to lower our essence, to disprove our spirituality…we become uncentered. However, when we use the I AM as a statement of our core being of Light, it has no attachment to ego or egoic creation.  This simple phrase is a mighty prayer, reminding us of who we truly are. As we speak the I AM with conscious direction we find the power bringing us clarity, balance, peace and right action in our daily lives. We find ourselves walking, talking and being the I AM…

I AM…I AM Light…I AM Love…I AM Forgiveness…I AM Beauty…I AM kindness…

I AM that I AM.

#23 I Love You So

In my early years I had glimpses of God’ love and healing energy. As a child I would see Jesus in my home church and experience expanded consciousness through music. I had no idea that others did not have the same experiences as I did.  I thought it was quite normal. As I grew out of the youthful innocence I still felt the expanded heart and the beauty of song. I didn’t feel out of place but I did begin to understand that life was experienced differently for those friends around me. I was drawn to those who loved poetry and were prone to talking about spiritually deep subjects.  I came alive when those closest to me shared their own personal stories.

Throughout those early years I was captivated by energy I did not understand and I felt a presence within I couldn’t explain.  When things were tough in my family there was an essence which walked with me that I didn’t often see but I almost always felt. I would translate these experiences now to: I love you so.

I seemed to know that I was connected to something more powerful and greater than myself.  I could feel the presence, those angels or beings of light so close at times and the message was always the same…you are loved…you are connected…we are here…do not despair.

Please take a moment today and allow yourself to feel the arms of your angels and spirit beings caress your tired and often defeated spirit.  Take a moment to remember when you were a young innocent child.  Remember the prayers with your parents for a good night’s sleep and remember the essence of your story whispering: I love you so!

This connection is here for you today…the years do not change the message.  The problems and experiences do not erase this truth.  Our only separation comes when we forget.  We must sit in the presence of this spiritual energy that came with us and allow its message to touch and revive us once again…God’s healing essence is always there and as we take a moment to listen we will begin to feel this presence. The message is simply…

I LOVE YOU SO…

# Forgiving the Unforgivable

Like so many of you reading these posts I, too, have been wronged, and betrayed.  I, too, have suffered through endless expressions of darkness.  I KNOW the path of despair.  My dear friends…drop the burdens of all that has crucified your Being! Drop the crosses now! These crosses only support your thinking, your pain, sorrow and suffering. What the world has done to you will leave an everlasting mark unless, as you awaken, you realize that your crosses are no longer necessary, valued or in any way a part of who you are becoming.

The Ho’oponopono is all about self-release and clearing. It is about becoming fully responsible for your actions or reactions…your response to the injustices of a karmic world. In your awakening you become aware and focused on the Light and on the Love that is unconditional. As you release the crosses you have bared, the freedom to be whole, loved and honored begins to take shape.  We are the only ones who continue to suffer when we live with the burden of our personal cross consciousness.

This season is all about release, forgiveness, and choice about how we wish to move through our new and expanding world. For a moment take a personal inventory of all those personal crosses you have carried for so many years…even those crosses which seem unforgivable. Call on the energy of Divine Love, the spirit of compassion and the unlimited sounds of forgiveness which reside deep within each one of us and allow those crosses to find the light. Allow these crosses to move into the Divine fire of redemption. Seek the inner knowing that you are now releasing all past burdens and betrayals…the unforgivable…into the campfire.   Their power is gone…you have let them all go.  You are no longer a prisoner to these stories. You begin to feel the accomplishment of release as you continue to throw the old stories into the fire which sits before you.  The darkness begins to lift…you are no longer a prisoner to the old and unwanted. Love has taken over. Forgiveness has taking over. New life has taken hold and you can relax in the knowledge that you are now paving a personal path of freedom.

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

#21 Awakening

As we begin to realize that we have choices…that we can reconstruct our inner and outer world…there is a renewed sense of hope and thanksgiving with this new found freedom.  There comes a new energy field struggling to break free and in all of its fullness express itself.

We acknowledge this process of breaking free from the old, unwanted and unnecessary construction of thought. In our turning from the vision of the old to the new, the dark to the light, we become aware of an energy which begins to surface from deep within our Sacred Place. We are AWAKENING!

This Lenten series is geared to harness the energy of change and self-awareness.  This series is creating itself through the desire of unconditional love and the establishment of a Divine and unlimited consciousness.  Remember: We are free, we are unlimited. There are no chains to bind us.  We are free we are awakening right now!

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

#20 More Compassion for a great start to Monday

Yesterday we spoke of compassion and how and why it is so important to have compassion for ourselves. We understand that in order to have compassion for others we must first have it for ourselves.  We understand that WE ARE ALL ONE and therefore, compassion for one is compassion for another.

With that being said we must now find within ourselves the ability to release personal data about how we think and feel about ourselves. The negative self-talk must be examined and blessed, cleaned and removed from our “energy band waves” of consciousness. Think of consciousness like a radio seeking a station for listening pleasure.  What station do we choose: a self-deprecating one or a mostly positive one… or a station filled with fear and doubt? Where is the station of self-acceptance, beauty, grace, joy and laughter?

In our years of living we have experienced many levels of “stations” in our life. We now have the privilege of learning how to filter through those radio energy bands of consciousness, selecting instead stations on our personal radio created through positive self-awareness and compassion. We make the conscious decision to change the channel when the old stories and tapes begin to play. We practice the Presence of Compassion and systematically reduce our consumption of our old stories, ideas, and thoughts. We choose to eliminate the “thought chains” that bind us and keep us away from expressing our truest and highest good.  We forgive what has passed and instead form a new alliance within our being: we now become our own compassionate friend, claiming forgiveness for what was, standing tall in our new consciousness of love as we continue to walk in this earth life.

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!

#19 Compassion

We cannot truly have compassion for others until we have compassion for ourselves. It isn’t always understood, this compassion thing. The truth is: everyone represents a part of us.  What we see in others is what we see in ourselves…good and bad. Every day we are sorting and classifying how we feel about everything.  We have deep internal judgments and we have deep understanding.  As we grow in compassion for ourselves it is necessary to clear those old thoughts of punishment or despair, hurt and anger that we have carried with us for so long. If we cannot be kind to ourselves we cannot possibly be kind to others.

WE ARE ALL ONE.  We come from the same Source…the I am presence. In forgiveness there is awakening.  Take time today to listen to your own inner stories.  How much compassion do you have for yourself?  How hostile is your self-talk or how loving are your inner words about your life? How kind are you to who you are and where you are going? Do you resonate with love and forgiveness? This is the day to make amends.  This is the day to remember to be compassionate for your journey and all the lessons you are learning.  This is the time to embrace who you are:  forgiving, erasing and moving forward as you respond with kindness to life’s circumstances.  You are building a new over-view of life, deciding what to keep and what to eliminate.  You are learning to be a compassionate soul in a challenging world. You are learning to fully love and accept who you are!

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!
