#16 Gratitude

I had a friend many years ago who was in such a dark place in her life that when asked to make a gratitude list for her counselor all should could come up with was getting her taxes done. I have been in that place at times in my life.  I don’t think any of you participating in this Lenten series hasn’t, at some point, experienced such a moment in your life. How did we move forward, up and out, of those dark experiences? Each of us could explain what that moment of transformation was, even though at the time it didn’t seem like much.

It was, and still remains, a powerful part of our personal psychology: that moment when we allowed ourselves to “register” with a different, more promising part of ourselves. These types of moments build a strong foundation for the future experiences with the dark and the light of who we are.

Today we are motivated by the choice of gratitude.  We have been clearing and releasing that which no longer serves our highest good.  Now we build on that personal clarity by stepping into the new format of Gratitude.  We are giving thanks and having gratitude for the simplest of things, moments, understanding. We are building the strongest foundation for creating a new life of authorship. We are acknowledging the creative life within…accepting our beautiful responsibility with joy…wrapped in the gracious gift of gratitude.

I love you…Please forgive me…I am sorry…Thank you!
